Obituary: Doris Jean Bange, 79, of 1806 Brantley Road, Kannapolis died at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House on October 27, 2011. She was born on February 1, 1933 in Cabarrus County the daughter of the late -John Taft Bange and the late, Pearl Deal Bange. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, James, and niece, Tanya Bange.Doris graduated in 1951 with the last class of J.W. Cannon High School and retired from Telephone Communications Services as a operator. She was a life-long, active member of Franklin Heights Baptist Church where she was a member of the Choir and member of a group, know as, "The Millennium Prayer Warriors" for eleven years.Survivors include a nephew, Ronnie Bange and wife, Suzette, great nephew, James W. Bange and an aunt, Alice Deal. Also by her extended family; Vicky Shue and family, Virginia Allen, "The Rary's", The Russell's, Geraldine Goodman, Arlene Edwards Thompson, Annie Thompson, and a host of former classmates, and church friends. The funeral will take place at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Jim Grigg.
