Doris Page Baynard

Obituary: Doris Page Baynard, age 73, entered the gates of Heaven on February 22, 2015 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC after a short illness. She was born July 25, 1941 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late Frank Page and Helen Patten Page. Doris was a graduate of Landis High School. Doris was retired from Pillowtex Corp. (formerly Cannon Mills Company) where she worked for many years. Her family fondly remembers her as a dedicated Christian lady who was extremely proud of her children. She also adored her late husband and spent many quality years together with him. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years, Hicks Baynard. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2015 at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC officiated by Rev. Rev. Carl Fosdick. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM Friday at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC prior to the service. Survivors to cherish her memory are her son, Roger Baynard of Sumter, SC; her daughter, Robin (Danny) Childress of Kannapolis, NC; two sisters, Joyce Honeycutt and Linda O'Neal, both of Kannapolis, NC; two grandsons, Jeremy (Lory) Childress; Joshua (Crystal) Childress; and two great-grandchildren, Britany Childress & Joshua Childress, Jr. Memorials may be made to Enochville Church of God, 199 N. Enochville Avenue, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
