Doris Helen (Sloop) Deal

Doris Sloop Deal, 86, of Kannapolis, passed away January 30, 2021 after a period of declining health. Born April 25, 1934 in Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Grace Craddock Sloop.

Prior to retirement, Doris worked in the accounting department at Cannon Mills. She was previously active in the Junior Woman’s Club, Clarice Woman’s Club and United Methodist Women. Doris was a long-time member of Jackson Park United Methodist Church in Kannapolis.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Fink and husband Dean of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Tyson Fink and wife Jessi Ellenburg of Kannapolis, and Lee Katherine Fink of New York City; and two great grandchildren, Willa and Etta Fink. Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Boyd Deal.

A private graveside service to honor her life will be held at the family’s convenience. Rev. Dr. Gregory Gordon will officiate.
