Obituary: Doris Alieen Blackwell Riley,82, left her home on November 19, 2012 to be with the love of her life, her husband; Endle Waren Riley ,and her Lord. She had been in declining health for six years. She was born November 1, 1930 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late William Lee and Elvie Mae Williams Blackwell. She was a member of Universal Baptist Church. Mrs. Riley had been employed for 34 years at Cabarrus Hospital as a nursing assistant. She and her late husband enjoyed being members in the Early Ford V-8 Car Club. She dedicated her life to her family and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, Gerald William Riley, three grandchildren; Jason Brewer, Olivia and Chasity Riley, one great grandchild, Dakota Moore and two sisters, Helen Simmons and Nadine Cagle. Survivors include three daughters, Phyllis Brewer, Margie Riley, Tammy Tucker and husband Danny, son, Rondal Riley and wife Cindy, all of Kannapolis and daughter-in-law, Pat Riley of Concord. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 23, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Scott Brewer, a grandson, and Rev. Bob Harvey. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral. At other times the family will be at the residence.
