Doris Goble Sherrill

Obituary: She was born November 7, 1933 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late Ransome David Goble and Nellie Simpson Goble. Doris was a 1952 graduate of A.L. Brown High School. Doris was self-employed with Avon Cosmetics for fifteen years. Before that time she also worked in finance. She was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC where she was active in circle work. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alton Sherrill who died November 3, 2011; her son, David A. Sherrill; and two sisters, Evelyn Cline and Patsy Wilson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Dr. Richard Graf. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include a son, Dennis A. Sherrill of Kannapolis, NC; a daughter, Catina Morrow & husband, Jeff of Concord, NC; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
