Dorothy Shinn Bonds

Obituary: Dorothy Shinn Bonds, 89 of Kannapolis, NC died at her home on Feb. 18, 2017. She was the loving wife of the late Clyde R. "Bud" Bonds who passed away in January of 2007 after 58 years of marriage. Dorothy was born on Aug. 20, 1927 in Cabarrus Co. In addition to raising her family, she worked at Terry Products as a pattern maker for 25 years. Dorothy was a member of Centerview Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, crochet and gardening but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Dorothy is survived by two sons, Eddie Bonds of Kannapolis, and Douglas Bonds and wife Amanda and grandson, Tyler Bonds of Greenville, NC. Burial for Mrs. Bonds was held at Carolina Memorial Park. Whitley's Funeral Home will be handling all arrangements for the Bonds family.
