Dorothy Branham

Obituary: Dorothy Faye Milem Branham, 76 of Salisbury passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2013 at her residence. Her death was unexpected. Dorothy was born on August 21, 1936 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late James Hansford and Verdie Riggs Milem. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Branham who died in 2000, a granddaughter, Erica Lynn Branham who died in 2012, one sister, and 5 brothers. She was graduate of Winecoff High School, and retired from Cannon Mills. Dorothy was known for putting others needs first and concern for others well being. Her family was her life and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her daughters; Leslie Branham Reece with whom she resided in Salisbury, Lori Branham Bivens and husband Douglas of Kannapolis, a son; Eric L. Branham of Kannapolis, two grandsons; Joshua Branham and Karson Reece, a granddaughter; Megan Branham, three great grandchildren; Kaliyahh, Taniyahh, and Treyvon, and a brother Ray Milem and wife Frances of Kannapolis. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Rev. Max Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rowan County. The family will receive friends on Friday May 24, 2013, from 6:30 TO 8:30 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis.
