Dorothy D. Davis

Obituary: Dorothy Davis, 79, of Kannapolis, passed away December 5, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House. She was born January 13, 1939 in Dracut Co. MA. To the late George Dickinson and Lorena Frye Lizak. Dorothy enjoyed many things in life especially; camping, fishing and, being at the lake. She loved spending time with her family. She worked for Cannon Mills and also Chic Hosiery. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Hillard Davis and her daughter Vickie Foranda. Those left to cherish her memory; three sons Mike Davis and wife Carmen of Rochester, NH, Jefferson Scott Davis and wife Betty of Kannapolis, James Davis of Kannapolis, one brother Walter Lizak and wife Jean of New Market, NH, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, December 12 at Whitley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Steadman officiating, burial will follow at Salisbury National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 to 12:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home.
