Obituary: Mrs. Dorothy "Dot "Ruth Freeman, 83, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017 after brief illness. She was born October 29, 1933 in Cabarrus County a daughter of Harold and Inez Drye Faggart. Dot loved music and enjoyed being with her family and friends, she had worked as a beautician for a number of years. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charlie Freeman, her daughter Judy Cox, a son Gerald Reeder, her brothers Edward Faggart and Wayne Faggart. Survivors include her sons, Todd Freeman and Hal Freeman of Kannapolis, her sister Dianne Murph of Kannapolis.4 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
