Obituary: Davidson, NC- Dorothy Mae Crisco Freeze, age 82, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at her home after several years of declining health. She was born July 4, 1931 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late Jeneral Sebastian Crisco and Myrtle Petrea Crisco. In earlier years Dot was a homemaker. In later years she worked at T & N Manufacturing Company, Davidson, NC for ten years. She was a strong Christian lady who loved her five grandsons who were the "apple" of her eye. She is fondly remembered by her family loving to fish, hunt, and collected "Betty Boop" collectibles. In additional to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Bud, Jack, and Bill; and two sisters, Cora and Esther. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Whitley's funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Mike Hubbard. Burial will follow at Coddle Creek A.R. P. Church Cemetery, Mooresville, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, January 6, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis. The family will be at the residence the remainder of the time. Survivors include her husband of sixty-seven years, Frank R. Freeze; two daughters, Shirley Hudson and Myra Trull, both of Davidson, NC; grandchildren, Frankie Hudson, Dennis Hudson, Kenneth Trull, Brian Hudson, and Darin Hudson; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Crisco of Mt. Holly, NC; and one sister, Pauline McDonald of Kannapolis, NC.
