Obituary: Dorothy Johnson Lyman, 70, of Kannapolis passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the Brian Center. She was born November 27, 1940 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of the late Robert Lee Johnson and Margie Christy Johnson. She was also preceded in death by a son, Earl Wayne Rhinehardt. She had formerly owned/operated J.R. and Dot Sheetrock Sanding with her husband for many years. She was a charter member of the Universal House of Prayer in Concord. She loved to work with crafts. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Universal House of Prayer, 2999 Eva Drive NW , Concord officiated by Rev. Randy Lefler and Rev. Willis Parrish. She is survived by her husband, J.R. Lyman, two sons Jimmy Rhinehardt of Kannapolis and Jerry Rhinehardt of Concord, two daughters Alicia Lyman of California and Delena Mauney of Gastonia, 3 sisters Ora Hobson of Kannapolis, Dianne Goodman of Concord, and Sally Salamanchuk of Kannapolis, a brother Pete Johnson of Salisbury, 11 grandchildren and blessed with a gracious number of greatgrandchildren.
