Obituary: Dorothy Elizabeth Roseman Moss, 83, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Moss was born January 12, 1931 in Rowan County to the late Ray Roseman and Bessie Burke. She was a member of Homestead Baptist Church, retired from Cannon Mills, and after she retired from the mill she cared for little children from within the community. Survivors include her children, Peggy Lynch, Shirley Pickler, and Tammy Strider all of Kannapolis; three step-children, Vicki Moss of Kannapolis, Eddie Moss of Concord, and Jeff Moss of Kannapolis; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Pat Archie of Kannapolis and Betty Fletcher of Florida; and a brother, Carven Roseman of California. Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred Greene; second husband, Kenneth Moss; a son, Harvey Greene; step-son, Curtis Moss; a grandson, Mark Lynch (Scooter); and a sister, Jeanette Lowder. A funeral service will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mitch Thomas and Rev. Terry Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 P.M. prior to the service.
