Obituary: Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Duckett Query, 92, of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at The Living Center, Concord. Mrs. Query was born in Buncombe County on April 11, 1924 to the late Ralph and Carrie Henderson Duckett. Mrs. Query worked as a bookkeeper with the former Query Brothers, Inc., Men's Clothing Store for 38 years until the stores closing in 1984. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Kannapolis, where she was a member of the Crafty Ladies and was involved with many church activities. Loving husband of 63 years, Fred A. Query Sr., brother Ralph Gordon Duckett, Jr. and sister Barbara Duckett Wells preceded Mrs. Query in death. She is survived by two sons; Fred A. "Freddie" Query Jr. and wife Elaine of Mooresville, Bob Query and wife Cindy of Kannapolis, two granddaughters: Lisa Query Bracewell of Landis, Kristen Query Stokes and husband Adam of Montana, two grandsons: Alex Query of Kannapolis and Ryan Query of Kannapolis, five grandchildren: Austin, Ashlee and Avery Bracewell and Austin and Aaron Query. Mrs. Query will forever be remembered for her sweet smile and love for life. Her family especially remembers her love of attending her children's, grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's sporting and band activities. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Trinity United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Kirk Tutterow. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:45 PM at the church. Memorials: Trinity United Methodist Church, 416 E. First St., Kannapolis, NC 28083.
