Dorothy Humberger Rhinehardt

Obituary: Dorothy Humberger Rhinehardt, 89, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Five Oaks Nursing Center in Kannapolis. Mrs. Rhinehardt was born September 26, 1923 in Cabarrus County to the late Pinkston and Essie Yow Humberger. She was an lifelong area resident; worked for Cannon Mills for 38 years; and later worked for Five Oaks Nursing Center for 18 years. Survivors include his daughter, Teresa R. Riley of Concord; a son, Coy Rhinehardt and wife, Diane of Kannapolis; a step-son, Joel Rhinehardt and wife, Crystal of Casselberry, Florida; four grandchildren, Lyndi Smith, Anna Childers, Michelle Williamson, and Laura Rhinehardt; five great grandchildren; a sister, Gail H. Smothers of Kannapolis; and a brother, Ted P. Humberger of Concord; She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Olivia Riley and Chasity Riley; and a son-in-law, Gerald W. Riley. A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at West Concord Cemetery in Concord. The family will receive friends following the service.
