Dortha Fay (Farmer) Conner

Dortha Fay Farmer Conner, 94, peacefully passed away Thursday morning, July 9, 2020, at her residence.

Born July 25, 1925, in Killeen, TX, Dortha was a daughter of the late William Edward Farmer and Helen Gould Sandidge Farmer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Handford Conner, Sr.; 3 sons, Meredith, Artist and Wallace H. Conner, Jr., and 6 brothers.

Mrs. Conner was a loving and devoted homemaker most of her life.  She enjoyed the simple life and spending time with her family. Dortha also loved watching episodes of The Golden Girls with her daughter. Although in a much better place today, Mrs. Conner will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family members left with cherished memories include her daughter, Dortha C. Williams; her son, Rodney Conner and wife,Terri; sisters, Helen Sandidge and Winnifred Hunter; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 am Saturday, July 11th at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Conner will begin at 10:00 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel.  Mrs. Conner will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, immediately following the services.
