Obituary: Douglas Robert Isenhour, of 702 Robin Ave. died at his home on Dec. 3, 2012. Death was unexpected. Doug was born in Cabarrus County on Oct. 3, 1959, the son of the late William Edward Isenhour and the late Margaret Linebarry Isenhour. Doug was a lifelong resident of this area and had attended A.L. Brown High, was 16 years old when he decided to go to work for Cannon Mills. His employment lasted with the mill until the doors closed for the last time. Doug loved fishing and enjoyed "dirt track racing." A visitation will be held from 6-7:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 6th at Whitley's Funeral Home with a Memorial Service at 7:00 conducted by Rev. Joe Harding. Survivors include his "love of his life for 32 years," Beverly Grimes of the home; a sister, Elaine I. Carter (Doug) of Salisbury and his brother, Steve Isenhour of Kannapolis.
