Dovie Jane Eyler

Obituary: D. Jane Eyler,86, formerly of York, PA., passed away on Monday September 2, 2013, at Carolina's Medical Center in Concord, NC after losing to a lengthy fight with cancer. Jane moved to York, PA in 1954, where she owned and operated" Jane Eyler Interiors" which specialized in custom draperies and furniture coverings. Jane retired her business in 1980, and gained employment with the York County Juvenile Probation department until retirement in 1989. Jane leaves behind a daughter, Kaye (Gibbs), her husband, Michael Ehrhart of York, a son, Stephen D. Eyler of Mapleton, Maine, four grandchildren Jason Ehrhart, his wife Amy, and Teri Williams, her husband Chadd, also of York, Sean and Christopher Eyler, both of Okinawa, Japan, three great-grandchildren, Haley Pfefferkorn, Meghan, Logan Ehrhart, also of York, Pennsylvania. She was a devout, active member of the Crown Pointe Baptist Church of Kannapolis, where she enjoyed attending Sunday services, bible study, and fellowship trips to the beach. Her Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday September 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM, at the Whitley Funeral Home Chapel, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd, Kannapolis. Officiating at the service will be the Reverend Gearld Broome. Burial will be private.
