Doyd Preston Crisco, Jr.

Obituary: Doyd Preston Crisco Jr., 75, of Kannapolis died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at CMC-NE in Concord. His death was unexpected. Doyd was born on March 21, 1937 in Cabarrus County, NC a son of the late Doyd Preston Crisco Sr. and the late Rachel Blackwelder Crisco. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Bobby Lee Crisco who died on July 24, 1980. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served on the maintenance crew and as an usher. Doyd was retired from Cannon Mills. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Max Smith and Rev. Darrell Coble officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:30pm prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Doyd is survived by his wife, Hattie Fink Crisco of the home, a son; Doyd Dwayne Crisco and wife, Vicky of Kannapolis, daughters; Mary Alice Broome of Kannapolis, Patricia Ann Carpenter and husband, Ralph of Concord, and Debbie Honeycutt and husband, Tony of Mt. Pleasant, two brothers; Earl and Broadus Crisco, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
