Obituary: Lewis, Dustin Allen Kannapolis, NC- Dustin Allen Lewis, age 27, went home to be with Jesus on Monday, May 3, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC. He was born March 16, 1983 in Cabarrus County, the son of Rick Eugene Lewis & wife, Rhonda of Kannapolis, NC and Angel Altman Messineo & husband, Richard of China Grove, NC. He attended South Rowan High School. Dustin was a student studying nursing at the time of his death. He loved to write poems and songs. His family fondly remembers him for his hugging ways, loving smile, and tender heart. He had a strong love for life and especially his baby girl. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 7, 2010 at Lane Street Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Jon Casteel and Rev. Troy Beaver. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. Friday at the church prior to the service. Survivors in addition to his parents include his daughter, Presslee Aleah Lewis of Rockwell, NC; his sister, April Beije & husband, Cory of China Grove, NC; Grandparents, Delores Altman of Kannapolis, NC and Barbara and Don Lewis of Kannapolis, NC; his great-grandfather, Monroe Walter of Kannapolis, NC; his niece, Carissa Beije; Four step-sisters, Sheryl Benaduce & husband, Greg of Concord, NC and Jayme Black of China Grove, NC Regina Messineo of Concord, NC and Jenny Messineo of Gastonia, NC; one step-brother, Richard Messineo of Gastonia, NC; his special friend, Eddie Ballard of China Grove, NC. Memorials may be made to an education fund to be set up for Dustin's daughter, Presslee, through Lane Street Baptist Church, 2532 Lane Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083.
