Dustin Blake Parson

Dustin Blake Parson, 37, of Kannapolis unexpectedly passed away at his home after complications from pneumonia on December 16, 2024. 

His family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home on Sunday, December 22, from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, followed by a graveside service at Carolina Memorial Park at 1:00 PM. 

Dustin was born in Cabarrus County to Thomas Parson and Cammie Murph Bell on January 22, 1987. Dustin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harley "Bruce" and Sarah Lambert Murph, his paternal grandfather, Joseph "Wade" Parson, and cousin, Brittany Waller. 

In addition to his parents, Dustin was survived by his sister Madison Bell of Concord, his grandmother, Linda Waller Parson of Kannapolis, his 2 aunts, Starr Adams and Tangela Waller (Samuel), his uncle Anthony Murph and cousins, Alexis Parson-Adams, Kayla Waller Reynolds, and Lindsay Murph Cook. 

Dustin spent his time on Earth surrounded by his family and friends. 

As a child, Dustin visited John Deere with his Grandma Linda every Monday and got a new toy tractor. Dustin enjoyed outdoor activities like riding dirt bikes and joining his Uncle Sammy in completing farm chores and using farm equipment. Dustin attended A.L. Brown and later achieved his G.E.D. As a Kannapolis native, Dustin delighted in spending quality time with his sister, Madison Bell, doing downtown Kannapolis and park activities. Dustin enjoyed trips to the beach with his family and spent a few years living in Myrtle Beach. Dustin had been sick for many weeks with pneumonia and his body was no longer strong enough to battle the illness. His family takes peace in knowing Dustin is no longer suffering.
