Obituary: Dylan Wayne Livengood "DD", 22, of Kannapolis, passed away, Saturday, December 30, 2017 at CHS-NE. The Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Scoggins and Rev. Gene Edwards officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, January 2, at Whitley's Funeral Home Dylan was born September 25, 1995 in Cabarrus Co. to Marcus Wayne Livengood and Tricia Annette Dixon. "DD" was a student at J.C. Carson High School, a member at Second Baptist Church, he enjoyed swimming and Special Olympics. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Charles Dixon and Debra Long and a paternal grandparent Timothy Livengood. Those left to cherish his memory, his mother Tricia Dixon of Kannapolis, father, Marcus W. Livengood of Kannapolis, a brother Joshua Needham of Kannapolis, grandparents, Darlene Livengood of Kannapolis, Cullen and Peggy Wilbanks of Kannapolis, Gary Long of Concord, and Lavar Batts, Sr. who Dylan affectionately called, "Pops". Memorials may be made to Rowan County Special Olympics, 828 W. Jake Alexander Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28147.
Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday January 3, 2018 Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel.
