Earl Eugene Eagle

Obituary: Earl Eugene "Gene" Eagle, 78, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House. Gene was born February 17, 1939 in Cabarrus County, NC a son of the late Allie Edmond and Nettie Mae Moore Eagle. He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Allen Eagle, Sr. Earl was raised in the Holiness Faith. He was a loving husband and father, and had retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon with 44 years of service working at Plt. #1, weave room. Earl loved to tinker with cars and had the ability to build anything. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Mary Hatley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Those left the cherish his memories include his wife of 61 years, Jeanette Smith Eagle of the home, one son, Donald Eugene "Don "Eagle and wife Christy of Concord, two daughters, Rhonda Eagle of Kannapolis , and Regina Eagle and wife Cathy of Huntersville, one sister, Shirley Juanita Moffitt of Kannapolis. He is also survived by one grandson, Joshua Eagle and wife Kaitlyn of Kannapolis, and three great grandchildren; Kara Eagle, Noah Eagle, and Axle Eagle.
