Earl Karriker

Obituary: Mr. Earl Karriker, 91, of Kannapolis went to be with his Lord and Savior November 8, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born in Cabarrus County to the late William Karriker and the Bertha Wagner Karriker. He was a member of North Kannapolis Baptist Church and Stokes Lodge #32 AF & AM of Concord. Earl worked at Cannon Mill Company in earlier years and as a Correction Officer for the North Carolina Department of Corrections. He enjoyed his family and friends and especially driving and being able to go whenever he wanted. Earl was preceded in death by his parents: his wife Pauline Virginia Karriker and ten brothers and sisters. Family members remaining to cherish his memory are his son, Dennis Karriker and wife Stacey of Charlotte, his daughter Patricia (Pat) Judkins and husband Nicholas of Kannapolis, grandchildren Brian Judkins and wife Penny, Kristy Smith and husband Christopher all of Concord, Joshua and Brock Karriker of Kannapolis. Great- grandchildren Jackson and Mollie Smith, Zachary and Lucas Judkins and Deliplh Karriker, five Great- Great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris O'Guin officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Park with Masonic Rites by Cannon Memorial Masonic Lodge # 626.
