Eddie Robert Plott

Obituary: Eddie Robert Plott, age 62, of Kannapolis, died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at CMC-Main in Charlotte after a period of declining health. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 7 at God's Church of Faith in Kannapolis. Rev. Jeff Upright and Rev. Carl Fosdick will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, one hour prior to the memorial service at other times they will be at the family home. Eddie was born October 9, 1952 in Cabarrus Co., a son of the late Thomas W. and Grace Rabon Plott. He was a life-long area resident and attended S. Rowan High School. Eddie was a veteran of the US Air Force during the Vietnam War Era and he was a member of God's Church of Faith. Eddie was a security guard for a business complex in Charlotte, preparing to retire to part-time. Eddie enjoyed traveling with his family, particularly out west. He was full of life and loved to laugh. Eddie was a devoted husband, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Fink and his brother, Joseph Plott and several nephews. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Terry Weaver Plott of the home, his sisters, Margaret James, Reba Christy, Jeanette Martin and Nancy Christy; his brother, Jimmy Plott (Carolyn), sister-in-law, Audrey Plott and brother-in-law, Mebane Fink, all of Kannapolis and a number of nieces and nephews whom he loved.
