Edward Carl Dehlin

Edward Carl Dehlin, a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on 1/13/2025. He is survived by his wife Anne Ashley Dehlin of 34 and a half years. Ed was born 7/21/1947, in Essex County, New Jersey to Parents Eric Carl Dehlin and Mary Irene Dunn.

Ed is survived by his sons Jason (Alanna) Dehlin of Barrow, Alaska, Andrew (Carissa)

Dehlin of Harrisburg and Daniel Dehlin of Gastonia. The latest joys of his life were his grandchildren Atlas and Adira. He is also survived by his sisters Sherrie Dehlin and Debbie (Richard) Sealey, Aunts Carolyn White, Peggy (Jack) Thornton, and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was a charter member of Crossroads Church in Concord, he was very active with the building committee and youth group. He spent much time serving the community and going on mission trips with the youth. At Journey church he continued to support missions, was a trustee member, was on the finance team, and enjoyed going to the men's bible study group.

Ed worked in utilities at the water department for the Cities of Charlotte and Kannapolis.

After retirement he worked part time with Cooperative Christian Ministries, where he enjoyed helping others. Through these positions he touched many lives and made many connections and friendships.

Ed was a scout leader for troop 33 for over 25 years at Trinity United Methodist Church.

He was blessed to be a part of all three of his sons becoming Eagle Scouts.

Ed enjoyed being outside, playing cards and board games, collecting basketball cards, the Carolina Panthers and North Carolina Tar Heels.

Celebration of Life for Ed will be held on Saturday January 18th at Crossroads Church in Concord at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 10-11am.
