Edward Calvin Mann

Obituary: Edward Calvin Mann, 33, of 1400 Birch St., Kannapolis died at his home on Friday, Aug. 16, 2013 after a long courageous battle with diabetes. Edward was born on August 20, 1979 in Cabarrus Co., the son of the late Betty Carolyn Carpenter Mann and Carl James Mann, Sr. of Kannapolis. Edward was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School class of 97. He was director of Public Safety at the Research Campus and worked for Rowan Co. E.M.S. He also was a volunteer for the Cabarrus Co. E.M.S. Edward is survived by his wife, Lora Mackey Mann of the home, 2 sons: Michael Mackey and Christian Ford of the home, 2 daughters; Bianca Ramirez and Shyanne Ramirez also of the home; his father, Carl J. Mann, Sr. of Kannapolis and pat. grandmother, Dora C. Mann of Kannapolis . He is also survived by 3 brothers; Mark A. Mann, Sr. of Kannapolis, Carl J. Mann, Jr. of E. Berlin, Pa and Christopher J. Mann of Huntersville, NC. A memorial service will take place on 6:30 PM, Monday, August 19, 2013 at Fisher St. Baptist Ch. conducted by Rev. Joey Spry. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM, tonight at Whitley's Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Whitley's Funeral Home to help with family expences.
Visitation: 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, August 18, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 6:30 PM, Monday, August 19, 2013 at Fisher St. Baptist Church.

Interment: Pending
