Edward Allen Miller

Obituary: Edward Allen Miller, 75, of Concord, NC died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016 at CMC-NorthEast in Concord, NC. Death was unexpected. Mr. Miller was born on July 17, 1941 in Robinson Co., NC the son of Woodrow Miller and Wilma McGirt Miller and grew up as a farmer. Mr. Miller realized early in life of being a Mathematical Whiz which led to his being the C.F.O. with United Air Filter of Charlotte. Allen enjoyed NASCAR racing being a faithful fan of Dale Earnhardt. He also enjoyed football, SCI-FI movies and dearly loved and was devoted to his family and friends. Family members left to cherish his memory are; his wife of 33 years, Saundra, other family members; Andrea Blalock, Alexa Blalock, Allen Miller, Jr., Lynn Kerr, Ed Benfield, Robert Smith, Cassie Smith, Selena Kerr, Erica Swinson, Saundra Bumgarner, Shelbie Smith, Dean Benfield, Sidney Bumgarner, Woody Miller and Dorothy Miller. A memorial service for Mr. Miller will be held at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 30th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Allen BEST FRIEND of 50 years Mac Knight speaking. The family will receive friends from 12-1:30 p.m., before the service.
