Edward Blain Schenck

Obituary: China Grove- Edward Blain Schenck, 72, passed away Thursday morning, January 26, 2017 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, following a brief illness. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Lynn Schenck and a granddaughter, Jessye Schenck. Born January 31, 1944 in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Richard Edward and Lola Mae Stroud Schenck. Edward graduated from South Rowan High School, had retired from the trucking industry after 40 years of loyal service, and was a member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Family members left with loving memories include his wife of 53 years, Carolyn Freeze Schenck; his daughter Denene Brown and husband Jimmy of Rockwell; his son Jeffrey Schenck of West Virginia; his much loved grandchildren Zeke Brown, Samantha and Johnny Schenck. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 29th from 2:00-3:00 pm in the fellowship building of Ebenezer Lutheran Church. Services to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Schenck will begin at 3:00 pm in the church, conducted by Pastor Bob Young. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
