Elaine Teate

Obituary: Elaine Teate, 66, of Kannapolis passed away on January 31, 2019. She was born September 16, 1952 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late Paul Teate and Muriel Somers Teate. Elaine had formerly worked at Paragon Services (formerly John Barry & Associates) for 27 years. She loved and raised dogs. She enjoyed quilting, painting and going to the lake. She was a member of the Kannapolis Moose Lodge. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Monday, Feb. 4, 2019 at Whitley's Funeral Home with a service to follow at 2:00 in Whitley's Chapel. Afterwards, there will be a gathering of her friends and family at the Kannapolis Moose Lodge where everyone is invited. Elaine is survived by her brother, Donald Paul Teate (Diane), sisters, Nina Paulette Flynn (Mike), Judy Marie Litaker, Kimberly Frances Teate , nieces and nephews, Melissa Ann Hegler, D.J. Teate, Christopher Flynn, Brandon Blake Litaker, Brittany Elaine Hansford, Sharie Gray, Erica Teate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society and/or the ASPCA.
