Obituary: Mavis Elaine Livingston Walter, 87, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at the Tucker Hospice House. Elaine was born in Chesterfield, SC September 30, 1927 to the late Phillip H. Livingston and Eula Davis Livingston. She was a member of Concord Wesleyan Church and a homemaker. Mrs. Walter was married 60 Years ago on December 3, 1949 to Mr. Harry Walter. Survivors include her husband of the home; a brother, Larry Livingston (Gillian) of Colorado; a sister, Hazel Maag (Ed) of Chicago, Ill; and many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews. Mrs. Walter was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Livingston; and two sisters, Margie Drew and Bobbie Carlson. A funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Friday, December 5, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
