Eleanor Elizabeth Fabricatore Desantis

Obituary: Eleanor E. DeSantis, 87, of New London, NC went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 9, 2015 at CHS-Northeast Concord, NC following a period of declining health. Eleanor was born March 2, 1928 in Suffolk County, NY a daughter of the late Lawrence Fabricatore and Felicia Gallo Fabricatore. She was born and raised in Long Island, NY. While living in New York, she was most recently a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church. After moving to North Carolina she worshiped at Annunciation Catholic Church in Albemarle, NC. For many years, Eleanor both played and taught piano. She loved loved music and enjoyed sharing that gift with others. A service of remembrance for Mrs. DeSantis will be held 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 12, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Very Rev. Peter L. Fitzgibbons, V.F. Interment will follow in the spring 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Church Cemetery in Riverhead, NY. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Irene Monivis and brothers Louis Fabricatore and Ally Fabricatore. Survivors include three sons, Bruce Vincent DeSantis (Priscilla Beshara) of New Windsor, NY., George DeSantis, Jr. (Lisa) of Ballston Spa, NY., Russell S. DeSantis (Kristy) of Kannapolis, two brothers Henry Fabricatore of Virginia and Sandy Fabricatore of New York, and one sister, Chris Fabricatore of Charlotte. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Kevin, Michael, Brooke, Matthew, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Anthony, Olivia, and Madelyn and one great-grandchild, Allyson.
