Eleanor Wenzel Whitson

Obituary: Eleanor Margaret Wenzel Whitson, 71 of Kannapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 1, 2014 at CMC-Northeast in Concord. Eleanor was born on August 7, 1942 in Essex County, New Jersey a daughter of the late Frank G. and Mildred Frances Christensen Wenzel. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Albert (Mike) LeClerc, and a sister, Edna Bryant. She was formerly employed as a dietitian at Universal Health Care. Eleanor was a devout catholic and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her love of family and her fondness for her pets and animals in general. She will be sadly missed. Private services will be held by Eleanor's family and friends. She is survived by a son; John Mark Adkins, daughter-in-law and friend; Norma Jean Cross, 2 step-children, 2 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 3 sisters, and a brother.
