Obituary: Elizabeth Gail Little Anderson "Tootsie", 76, of Kannapolis went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at White Oak Manor, Waxhaw, NC, following a period of declining health. She was born June 12, 1941 in New Hanover County, NC a daughter of the late Claude Buck Little and the late Grace Marie Kiser Little. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband, Donald William Anderson of 54 years who died November 25, 2014 and a brother, Howard "Buck" Little and two sisters; Louise McQuay and Jane Martin. Gail was a 1959 graduate of A.L. Brown High School and a 1960 graduate of North State Business College. Prior to her retirement she was manager of Commercial Credit in Kannapolis and Salisbury. Gail gave many hours to numerous civic and philanthropic causes. She was a longtime member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ruth Dysart Circle, a Sunday school teacher and a Girl Scout leader. She loved spending time with her family at her beach home. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She had a zeal for life and a playful disposition. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her fun loving spirit. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. John Futterer. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of the service. Family members left to cherish her memory are her daughter and her son-in-law; Dr. Donna Gail Anderson-Cole and Dr. David Michael Cole of Waxhaw, NC. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Mary Grace Elizabeth Cole and Eva Rose Caroline Cole of Waxhaw. She is survived by two sisters, Barbara Suggs (George) of Kannapolis and Helen Sherrill (Wayne) of Mooresville, one brother, Danny Little (Anita) of Kannapolis, a sister-in-law, Ann Little of Concord and a brother-in-law Larry Anderson (Sylvia) of Kannapolis.
