Elizabeth Porter

Obituary: Elizabeth Snuggs Porter passed from this earth to heaven on July 8, 2012. She was born on May 18, 1927 to the late Jim and Annie Snuggs in Norwood, North Carolina. "Lib" is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 33 years, Robert Van Porter; a sister, Catherine Swisher, three children; Judy Cline, Gary Blalock, and Libby Withrow. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who will always remember this sweet, caring, and loving lady. The funeral was held on Tuesday, July 10th at 2 p.m., at Royal Oaks United Meth. Church conducted by Rev. Gregg Gordon and Rev. Terry Hammill. Burial was at Carolina Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to: Royal Oaks United Methodist Church 1020 Kansas Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or to Hospice Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
