Elizabeth Watts Shue, 86, of Kannapolis, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022.
Elizabeth was born July 30, 1935, in Cabarrus Co., a daughter of the late Cletus Watts and Marie Blackwelder Watts. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Sonny Watts; sister, Jean Jenkins Spoon and brothers-in-law, Herbert Jefferson Browning and Charles "Cotton" Spoon.
Elizabeth was known by many names, Mom, Mother, Mommaw, Grandma lizard, Ms. Elizabeth, and Dolly. But no matter what name she was called; she will always be known for her kind heart and sweet gentle nature. She had not one mean bone in her body. Elizabeth enjoyed having fun while getting her exercise line dancing. She loved dancing, listening to music and traveling to the beach and mountains. But most of all she loved her family and supporting her grandchildren. It filled her heart with joy to attend their cheerleading and sports events. Elizabeth was never very fond of dogs until a special one named Bella who stole her heart. They became great friends from then on. Elizabeth was a true lady, amazing mother and grandmother. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include, her loving children, Alec Shue, Libby Russell (Jeff), Eddie Shue (Samantha); grandchildren, Easton, Terren, Lindsay, Ian, Ivory Cobb (Stephen), and Brandi Nolan (Alex); Great-grandchildren, Makayla, Lauryn, Kinley, and Camden; and special sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Ann Browning.
