Obituary: Ellar "Christine" Parrish Williams, 69, of Rockwell, formerly of Kannapolis died Wednesday, June 16th, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast Med. Center, Concord after a period of declining health. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 19th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gary Posey and Rev. Willis Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Friday, June 18th at Whitley's Funeral Home, at other times they will be at 450 Rock Creek Rd. in Rockwell, the home of Alan Williams. Christine was born June 14, 1941 in Guilford Co., the daughter of the late Spencer and Pearl Parrish. A life-long area resident, she was a homemaker to her family, a member of Victory Temple in Rimertown and she loved to paint. Christine was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She will be dearly missed. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Williams, who died Sept. 18, 2001 and by 4 brothers and 1 sister. She is survived by her sons; Alan Williams (Patricia) of Rockwell, "Hoppy" Williams (Theresa) and her daughter, Juanita Greer, both of Kannapolis. Christine is survived by 2 brothers, James and Willis "Red" Parrish and sister, Virginia Parrish, all of Kannapolis.
