Ellen D. Ludwick

Obituary: Kannapolis- Katherine Ellen Daniels Ludwick, 81, passed away Wednesday morning, July 25, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House. Ellen was born August 16, 1936, in Iredell County to the late Robert Elmer Daniels and Flora Katherine Wagner Daniels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lloyd "Sonny" Ludwick, who passed away January 6, 2014. Mrs. Ludwick had retired from Phillips Electric, where she was an accountant. She had been a faithful member of Unity United Methodist Church, where she had served as co chairman of Operation Christmas Child and was involved with Sunday school. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Ellen enjoyed her flowers and had a special love for hummingbirds. Mrs. Ludwick will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She leaves cherished memories to her children, Dale Ludwick (Shirley) of Salisbury, Scott Ludwick (Diane) of Kannapolis, and Allison Smith (Joe) of Salisbury; brother, Bob Daniels (Dolores);3 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A memorial graveside service to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Ludwick will take place at 2:00 pm Friday, July 27th, at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will speak to friends following the committal service at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any memorials be made in Mrs. Ludwick's name to Unity United Methodist Church, Mobile Meals Ministry, 8505 Unity Church Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081 or to Tucker Hospice House, 5005 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
