Obituary: Ellen Frances (Peggy) Triplett, 80, of Kannapolis died Friday, October 8, 2010 at CMC-NE following a period of declining health. She was born January 9, 1930 in Cabarrus County to the late Jesse and Nora Lofton Black. She was a member of Foot Of The Cross Freewill Baptist Church, a 50 year member of the Lady's Auxiliary of the Moose Lodge in West Palm Beach, Florida, and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, October 11 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with the Rev. Robert Earnhardt officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the residence of Rev. Robert Earnhardt, 1706 Brantley Rd., Kannapolis, NC. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband William J. (Pete) Triplett, a son Michael Dale Triplett, a daughter, Della Virginia Landry, a brother; James Black and a sister Eva Mann. She is survived by 4 grandchildren; Peggy Bragdon of West Palm Beach, Fla., William Michael (Bo) Triplett of Kannapolis, Wayne Wells and Kim Hubbs of Knoxville, TN., 5 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
