Eloise Brooks Freeze

Obituary: Mrs. Eloise Brooks Freeze, 92, of Kannapolis, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Autumn Care in Salisbury NC. Born October 13, 1922, in Union County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Sena Baucom Brooks & William Henry Brooks. Mrs. Freeze was educated in the Union County Schools and graduated from Fairview High School. She retired from J.C. Penney, after many years in the Kannapolis and Concord stores. She loved working in her yard and took pride in its appearance for every season. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher H. Freeze, grandson Kevin Goodnight, nine Brothers and three Sisters, and daughter-in -law Crystal Freeze. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Cochran and husband Tommy of Charlotte, Harvey Freeze of Mt. Holly, Lewis Freeze and wife Pam of Salisbury; grandchildren Jason Goodnight and wife Theresa and Zach Freeze. Great-grandchildren Autumn, Acadia, Samuel, Hillary and Bethany and other family members Greg, Stephanie, Dalton, Clayton, Shelby, Chris, Lauren, Brian, Tara, Brinly and Heather. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Mike Hubbard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 11:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
