Elsie Mae Beaver passed away peacefully in her home in Gold Hill on April 26, 2022. In her last days she was surrounded by loving family and friends.
Born in Cabarrus County February 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Taylor and Cordia Ball Taylor.
In her earlier years she worked at Cannon Mills, followed by The United States Postal Service. Throughout both jobs she and her husband owned and ran Beaver Concessions. Elsie enjoyed joy riding and shopping. All who knew Elsie loved Elsie.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her loving husband Gary Keith Beaver and brother Marvin Taylor.
Left to cherish her memory are loving daughters Beth (Dean) Tapp, and Nancy (Rob) Ramsing. Grandchildren Cody (Jeremy) Cook, Sara (Nathaniel) Balentine, and Landon Ramsing; great grandchildren Lily, Emily, and Jaxon Balentine. Makenna, Dylan, Lola, and Taylor-Rae Cook; step-grandchildren Heather (Jay) Godfrey, Nikki Boyd, Rebecca Ramsing, and Shelby Tapp; step-great grandchildren Aiden, Addy, and Jude Hammill, Emary Bass. Tristan Anderson and Tanner Peeples. Alyssa, Maddie, and Jymma Godfrey, and Pyper Little; In-laws Mike (Sheila) Beaver, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank devoted care-giver Jessica Sabol.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 28, 2022 at Whitley's funeral home in Kannapolis NC from 6:00pm - 8:00pm. Funeral service will be Friday, April 29, 2022 at 2pm at Whitley's followed by burial at Carolina Memorial Park. Rev. Gene Beaver will officiate.
