Obituary: Mrs. Emmie A. Gulledge 86, of Kannapolis, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 after an extended illness. She was born May 30, 1932 in Union County, North Carolina a daughter of Frank Leonard Aldridge and Willie Mae Starnes Aldridge. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry Lee Gulledge, and her sisters Lois Miliam and Annie Stacks. Emmie had worked for the former Cannon Mills as a spinner/spooler and winder until her retirement in 1978. A private memorial service will be held. Survivors include a daughter Cathy Godsey of Kannapolis, a son Donnie Milam, three brothers Edward Aldridge ( Doris )of Kannapolis, Bobby Aldridge of Salisbury, Clegg "Tiger" Aldridge of Badin, 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren,1 great-great grandchild.
