Ermalee Edwards Cline

Obituary: Concord, NC Ermalee Edwards Cline, age 90, of 207 Fisher St. died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, February 7 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, February 6, at other times they will be at her home. Ermalee was born April 9, 1920 in Rowan Co. a daughter of the late Ed and Janie Davis Edwards. She was a life long area resident. She worked for Cannon Mills Co. in Plant #1 Sewing Room as a folder for many years and was a member of Elwood Lane Free Will Baptist Church. She loved to cook, bake and crochet. Ermalee was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Elmer G. Cline, who died in 1987 and her daughter, Barbara Jean Cochran, who died in 2004 and also 3 brothers, 6 sisters, 2 granddaughters, 2 great-granddaughters and 2 sons-in-law. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Christy of Kannapolis, her sons, Guy Cline (Carol) and Donald Cline (Vickie) both of Concord and 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
