Ernest (Ernie) Brock

Ernest “Ernie” Calvin Brock, 83, of Kannapolis passed away on January 30, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. He was born July 29, 1938 in Rowan County, a son of the late Jones Odell Brock and Dorothy Steele Brock.

Ernie had formerly worked at Cannon Mills and then for Cabarrus County as a reservoir manager at Lake Howell.  Ernie was a 1956 graduate of A.L. Brown High School. He was a veteran of the US Army from 1961-63. He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church. He enjoyed tinkering on old antique cars and had a 66 Ford Fairlane. Ernie also enjoyed watching Nascar races and football on TV.

Funeral services will be private.

Ernie is survived by his wife of 64 years, Barbara Lewis Brock, daughters, Bonny Moon (Grant) and Penny Donaldson (Doug), grandchildren, Lauren Roberts (Cory), Emily Donaldson, Lindsay Formwalt (Tanner), greatgrandchildren, Eliza Mae and Mattie Jane Roberts, sisters, Phyllis Atwell, Linda Cauble (Jack),
