Obituary: Estelle Jordan, 93, beloved child of God, good and faithful servant, cherished mother, grandmother and great grandmother, has gone to reside in her heavenly home. She was always steadfast and strong in her love, service and witness for God. A refuge in times of need for many, a true friend that always treated everyone with kindness and compassion. Love beyond compare for all, especially children. She was the neighborhood mother and the neighbor everyone wants. She was the mother every child should have.She was born May 4th, 1918 in Chesterfield Co., SC, the daughter of the late Will and Marie Hurst. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Elbert Jordan, a daughter Doris Ann and many brothers and sisters.She is survived by a son Charles Jordan and wife Glenda, two daughters: Carol Quesinberry and Lynda Koontz and husband Mike, 6 granddaughters and 1 grandson: Robin Cannon and husband Blake, Tim Lunsford and wife Lisa, Crystal Goforth and husband Greg, Starla Price and husband Frank, Misty Moss, Angie Searles and husband Johnny, Lori Pittman and husband Terry, 4 greatgranddaughters and 7 greatgrandsons: MaShannon Ball, Dustin Cannon, Brittany Giddings, Amber Searles, Ashley Searles, Jacob Searles, Gaston Price, Brayden Price, Dylan Kinley, Charles Jordan and Dale Pittman, and two sisters Dorothy Therrell and Novella Smith. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 1:30 to 3:00 PM Sunday, June 12, 2011. Immediately following the funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Billy Honeycutt, Jr. and Preacher Joe Rahme. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. At other times, the family will be at the home, 310 Bethpage Rd., Kannapolis, NC .
