Obituary: Mrs. Estelle Williams Nobles, 78, of Kannapolis, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 18, 2015 at CHC-NE Medical Center, Concord. Death was unexpected. Estelle was born April 20, 1937 in Columbus County, NC, a daughter of the late George and Mary Vancie Blackwell Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, I.V. Nobles on April 6, 2010. She was a graduate of Fairbluff High School and was of the Baptist Faith. In early life she was employed at Cannon Mills in the towel dept. She later was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching television evangelists, loved to work puzzle books and do art work. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Pastor Jeff Burris. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30-2:00 P.M. Tuesday prior to the service. At other times they will be at their respective residences. Survivors include one son, Wayne Nobles and wife Rachel of Salisbury, two daughters, Deborah Nobles of the Home, Tammy Bunn and husband Billy of Kannapolis, four grandchildren, Elizabeth Bunn, Faith Nobles, Austin Nobles, Susan Wyatt and husband Gary, three great grandchildren, Natalie Cunningham, Emma Wyatt, and Gabriel Wyatt. She is also survived by one brother, Eugene Williams and wife Pat of Newport News, Va. and one sister, Sara Jane Coleman and husband Top of Chadbourn, NC.
