Eston Luther Cheek, 75 years old, of Kannapolis, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 3, 2024, after a period of declining health.
Eston was born December 27, 1948 in Cabarrus County to the late James Richard Cheek and Vaydeen Rodgers Cheek. He was a graduate of A.L.Brown high School in 1968 and North State Business College in 1969.
He proudly served his country in the United States Army, 1970-1976.
Then on returning home, furthered his education in Computer Science graduating from RCCC in 1978.
He was employed at Jim Cheek Corporation, Cannon Mills, Fredrickson Trucking, and Transport Renew during his career.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Belinda Goforth Cheek, daughter Leah Cheek Tilley (William), grandchildren Tyler and McKinley Tilley, and siblings Gail Cheek McArthur (Stephen), Dean (Sandra) Cheek, and Mickey (Peggy) Cheek.
A member of Landis Baptist Church for over 34 years where he faithfully served as Sunday school teacher, usher, in the media ministry, and soul winning ministry.
The family will receive friends Thursday, May 9th, at Landis Baptist Church from 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in the church, conducted by pastor Michael Austin. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.
