Ethel “Linda” Ewing Sechler Brown, 78, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday evening, February 13, 2022, at Atrium Health University City.
Born at home in Kannapolis on June 29, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Lettie Deaton Ewing Gulledge. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husbands, Ray Sechler and Bobby Brown; sons, Michael Ray Sechler and Dennis Scott Sechler; brothers, Vernon and Donald Ewing; and a grandson, Jason Ray Sechler.
Family members left with cherished memories include her sister, Shirley Lambert of Kannapolis; her twin brother, Leonard Ewing (Betty Ann); grandchildren, Rocky Sechler, Nathan Scott Sechler, Amanda Rae Sechler Martin, Jacob and Brent Sechler, her great-grandchildren, Carlie, Aaiden, Damian, Baily, Daven, Mallory, Braden, Desten and Christian; and extended family members.
Linda loved all of her family and enjoyed the time spent with them. She also enjoyed shopping, especially at Goodwill, and eating out. Linda will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 16th from 1:00-2:00 pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. Leonard Ewing and Rev. Ronnie Cooper. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park cemetery.
