Ethel Anne (Stalley) Freeley

Kannapolis

Ethel Anne "Ducky" Freeley, 86 of Kannapolis, passed peacefully into the Lord's hands on March 7, 2021 after a long illness.
She was born March 31, 1934 in Old Forge, NY to the late Jack and Nellie Stalley. She would meet her husband to be Gordon J. Freeley while attending high school. They raised five children in Old Forge before moving to Utica, NY, and then eventually retiring to Kannapolis, NC.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon Freeley, son, John Gordon Freeley and a brother Robert Stalley.
Those left to cherish her memory four children, Bobbi Eileen Bush of Rome, NY, Leslie Marie Ball (James) of Utica, NY, Greg Daniel Freeley (Pam) of Kannapolis, Kimberly Anne Freeley (Mike Kessler) of New Hartford, NY, two sisters Mary Lou Fitch (Wilson) of Rochester, NY and Margaret Ackley of DeRuyter, NY, one brother in law, Richard Freeley of Whitesboro, NY, 10 grandchildren, and 12 Great-grandchildren, whom she loved and thought of daily.
Ethel was a loving wife and mother, who cared and supported her children throughout their lives. She will be dearly missed.
A service will be held at a later date, she will be buried with her husband Gordon at Salisbury National Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Greg and Pam Freeley whom she resided with, and gave her much love, support, and care during her life , truly "earths angels."
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus Co. 5003 Hospice Ln. Kannapolis, NC 28081, Their caring and supportive staff truly was a blessing.
