Ethel Elizabeth Faggart Overcash

Obituary: Ethel Elizabeth Faggart Overcash, 98, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 18, 2018 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born January 25, 1920 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late James Franklin Faggart and Bessie Litaker Faggart. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Caldwell Overcash on Feb. 4, 2002, a sister, Marie F. Hartsell, and a twin brother Guy Franklin Faggart. Family members left to cherish her memories are her son, Edward Caldwell Overcash, Jr. of Kannapolis, her daughter; Janice O. Good(Allen) of Franklin, Tenn., grandson, Matthew Good and granddaughter Lindsay Good Grace, two great grandchildren, Walker Franklin Grace and Wesley Kate Good. Mrs. Overcash had been a member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church since 1942. She was active in circle work at the church throughout the years. She also was active in the home extension Club. Ethel was an avid gardener. She enjoyed raising her garden and her flowers. She was a homemaker and dearly loved her grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Overcash will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Bethpage Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Ellen Campbell Gardner. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. At other times they will be at the residence.
