Eula Dorton

Obituary: Eula B. Aldridge Dorton, 94, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at CHS-Northeast Medical Center. Born December 25, 1920 in Cabarrus County, Eula was a daughter of the late Beul and Julia Mitchell Bradshaw and retired from Cannon Mills, Plant 1, as a weave instructor. A long time loyal member of First Evangelical Methodist, she loved her church family and her Big Elm family. Eula enjoyed crocheting, loved spending time and being with people, and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ned W. Dorton, daughter Sue Aldridge Roberts, son Larry Aldridge, her brother Clarence "Slim" Bradshaw, sister Leona Bradshaw Dorton and her granddaughter Sherry Lynne Rabon. Family members left with cherished memories include her grandchildren Scott Aldridge and wife Jennifer, Melissa Aldridge and Julie Aldridge; daughter-in-law Brenda Aldridge; son-in-law Richard Roberts; 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. A memorial funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, December 27 at First Evangelical Methodist, conducted by Rev. David Hayes, pastor.
